I did not know this was a book, and then I just took a look and app and tell your review all the others were two stars, and at the movie looks like it's going to be fantastic, and a story which I'm so surprised has not come out until now. Thanks for your early inspiration!!!!

Sorry for all the typos, I'm in bed speaking into the phone
I was surprised, inspired and disappointed. I graduated in CHem Eng in 1980 and felt like a pioneer almost 50 yrs after these women in a technical field. I fear women are pioneering thru the corporate and government beauracracy run mostly by white men.
High time to share many more histories of amazing black women -- all women -- in technical fields!
I didn't know this was a book! Question: which came first, book or movie?
@Sadie, the book was written & published first. Within a year of publication, the movie was released. The movie is not identical to the books because it uses composite characters to tell a story that actually took hundreds of people to happen.
