I really want to like the books in this series. I follow the author on Twitter and she is delightful. I really want to love her books. But, honestly, so far they are just okay.

I do like the Evie, the main character. She is a pretty good character - she is funny/sarcastic and she can kick some paranormal butt. But what drives me crazy is that she is so naive. I mean, I knew who was causing all of the trouble the second she met the individual. The other thing that bothers me, but I think is just part of her character, is that she doesn't trust anyone. If she would just talk to people, she would avoid a lot of misunderstandings.

With all of the paranormal books out there, I was hoping for a series that didn't use the pretty typical plot devices like Evie's misunderstanding to create conflict. I also thought this one was way too predictable. But I do love the humor in these books and the different take on the paranormal characters.
