This book follows the lives of three friends, all graduates of Brown and turning 30 and living in New York City. Interesting insights into the lives and perspectives of the New York City intelligentsia and their offspring. I felt like I was transported into another world very different from my own, where people go to East Coast ivy league schools and feel entitled to brilliant success even if they don't necessarily have the drive, originality, or ability to achieve success on their own (however they're defining "success"). There are some character foils representing various degrees of "self-made" success and other people who don't buy into all that.
