Great for art-lovers! All about perception, visuality, and the traditions that frame the way we view/experience/value art and images. Berger's socio-political assessments are very interesting and challenging. I disagree w/ him on many points, especially in his assessments of the nature and legacy of oil-painting. However, even reading against him in many points, I've had to concede to some of his logic and recognize some of my own bias/presumption that I'd never fully admitted before. Definitely an enjoyable, provocative read!
