really liked it

I love young adult books with kickass heroines, and this story fits the bill. Both Jael and her deceased mother are strong, beautiful women who take charge of their problems. Jael begins the story unsure of her relationship with her father and unaware of her own powers. By the end, she has forcibly banished the demon Belial to Hell. Her newfound confidence helps her see more about those around her, building new confidence in her friends, teachers, and family. In turn, her father acknowledges her maturity and abilities, giving her the trust, support, and freedom she craves. This is a great Young Adult read!
