really liked it

Great sci-fi humor! Gratuity "Tip" Tucci has to write an essay for the National Time Capsule Contest. Her first effort at explaining what "Smekday" means to her gets returned with a note from the teacher asking for more details... and so she decides she might as well give the whole story a go! There have been multiple alien invasions of Earth (the Boov and the Gorg), and all humans have been forced to relocate to Florida and then Arizona. Her mother has disappeared, and Tip decides to drive to Florida to find her. On the way she befriends an odd Boov mechanic whom she names "J. Lo," who combines a Boov scooter with her mother's car to create "Slushious," the hovercar with completely backwards controls. The two of them come up with a wildly bizarre plan to save the Earth from the Gorg invasion and get rid of the Boov at the same time, but there are a few problems along the way. Illustrated with clippings from newspapers, pictures and "photos", this is hilariously funny, and will keep you turning the pages to find out what ELSE is going to happen to this unlikely pair! 6th grade and up.
