I enjoyed this book. It received a lot of criticism because Dismas Hardy and Abe Glitsky made a brief appearances in the beginning and more so for the last part of the book but the story was extremely interesting. A National Guard soldier is in Iraq in 2003 and gets involved with an unscrupulous government contractor. He's later accused of murdering the contractor when they return to California.
I thought it was outstanding and John Lescroart is an excellent novelist.
