it was amazing

I saw the film of this a few years ago ( I know, the dreadful crime of watching a film before reading the book) and I decided it was really weird. However, the book was so much better! Although it was exceptionally sad, the style of writing was such that I could truly picture myself as part of the story, fully immersed in Pi's world. Sad isn't exactly the right word, perhaps 'moving' would be better: it has the potential to make you both laugh and cry, as Pi's voice seems so real and always penetrates the the heart of the matter. Why indeed can't you be all Hindu, Muslim and Christian at the same time?
