Yeah this one was pretty bad. Likely wouldn't have finished reading it if I didn't have to for a group challenge.

My big problem was story two. Monster Love. It really just amounted to a kidnap/rape victim falling in love with her abuser. It was just creepy and you wonder who thought it was a good idea to pass along to the reader.

Santa Claus and A Fiend in Need were what saved this from an even lower rating. Santa Claus was fairly cute for a short story. The characters likable and some funny lines. Nothing really wrong with There's No Such Thing as a Werewolf either. There just wasn't enough story development really in any of them. If you're just looking for a surface read with a HEA and love at first sight/proposals right away have at it.

There were a lot of repetitions between the stories. Characters using the same phrases, discoveries being made in the same way as to who wasn't human, etc. Maybe fine in a longer series to have the similarities show up from time to time but with such short stories all back to back it all meshed together.

Overall a big eh with a side of creepy.
