Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1)

After putting this off for so many years despite all the fuss about it, I am happy to say I enjoyed this book, but I am not sure what all the fuss is about (don’t shoot me!)! The character development and setting are done well. It is a simple read and it’s a good story, I just am not sure why people rave so much!! I will try to get to the next book at some point.
There was one bit in particular that irked me - I felt it was a bit unrealistic (aside from the wizards and magic!), but I will perhaps write about that in my full review as that would be a spoiler.
Full review will be up on my blog asap.

"At the point of having 1hr 45 mins left, the one disappointing piece of the narrative stands out for me. The horse/man asks Harry if he knows what is hiding in the sch. Unless he has a wisdom or some kind of psychic ability, it seems so far fetched he would ask a student such a specific question when students shouldn't know about the stone."
