As a 'newcomer' to the series - I was reading to edit. But of course, I couldn't help but be caught up in the world, seeing it from Taran's perspective and cheering her on at every step. Robson's characters are compellingly imperfect, full of the contradictions, embarrassing moments, heartfelt likes, loves and dislikes that we all have. But they still manage to maintain their humanity in some very inhumane (and often deadly) circumstances, even when they aren't 'entirely' human.

Taran has all the qualities you want on your side, and a wicked ability to make a wisecrack in the most inappropriate moments - because What Else is there to do but dust off and move forward..

A wonderful introduction to this world and series, sure to thrill fans of the series. But, if you've not read a Weird Girls book before - start here and see just what delights live between these pages.
