really liked it

I was impressed with this debut book by Ms. Bailey. There was a solid plot with a few twists thrown in. The descriptions of landscapes were vivid and brought them alive for me. She did a good job of letting us know what Lachlan and Maggie were thinking and feeling. Their growing attraction despite Lachlan's reservations was believable. I was glad to see that Maggie was not a timid little mouse, but had a bit of a wild streak. Growing up with 3 older brothers allowed her to develop skills that young women were usually denied.

There were a few spots where I would have liked to know more, but overall, this was an enjoyable Highland romance. Fans of Scottish romance stories will definitely enjoy this one.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for a fair and honest review.
