An interesting book that gives you a lot to think about. While it editorializes here and there, it does reveal logical fallacies and inconsistencies in religion as well as highlights the potential dangers of faith. What resonated with me particularly strongly were his points about indoctrinating children instead of encouraging them to think freely, something that was so conspicuously absent when I was a child, to my amazement. While I've been an atheist for as long as I can remember, as I never really believed in any god, this book did offer a sense of relief, that I'm actually not a madwoman despite my godless worldview, or at the very least I'm not alone with my madness! I don't know how I'd perceive this book if I happened to be religious. Perhaps I'd be more quick to point out that the Bible shouldn't be taken literally or that religions are harmless, I don't know, maybe my faith would even start to crack. Either way, it's an excellent book and well worth your time.
