A light and pleasant read. At times, the author made it seem that he tried a little too hard to create a Japanese atmosphere through the metaphors and comparisons he used. Although, in all fairness, he did manage to depict beautifully the secret life of a Geisha. I would probably recommend it as a holiday read.
The ending was a little disappointing for me, as I usually like being left with a few things to wonder about, however this is a personal preference.
