What a lot can change in six months! Will Evans is a British publicist who has negotiated himself a sabbatical year but to earn it he has to complete six months jetting between his UK home and the events organising company, Trousseau, in Chicago. He can't wait for the time to be up so he can spend quality time with his six year old daughter, Sophie. He never imagined meeting anyone like the feisty, work focussed, highly talented events organiser, Holly Chandler - let alone having to work with her. She's reticent to commit to any relationship, always planning ahead with a get out clause after six months. Neither were looking for love or for commitment but life rarely works out as you'd planned - sometimes something much better is waiting just when you least expect it. . . Sometimes rules are just made to be broken!

With two brilliant lead characters and a definite end date planned from the start, this is not a typical office romance. Add in that Will is handsome, with a delectable accent and way of expressing himself, as well as being a very caring father and you just know this is going to be different. Like in real life, things don't go smoothly, there are plenty of obstacles in the path to true love but this is a journey well worth following as AJ Pine takes the reader on the journey with her characters, encouraging empathy and understanding to develop between all concerned en route. This story also has the added horoscopes giving guidance and advice along the way.

It is part of a series but you don't need to have read the previous novels to appreciate this one. Altogether this is a thoroughly enjoyable read - there again, I've not read anything from this talented author that I haven't relished escaping into - so I highly recommend getting yourself a copy to enjoy, too.

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley, too, for letting me read an ARC of this book in exchange for this, an honest review.
