Amazing book that will give you insights into how people think and their biases...including your own. Very easy to read.
The ideas Kahneman represents in Thinking, Fast and Slow, is that we have two distinct ways of thinking. System 1 that is fast and intuitive and System 2 that is slow and methodical, but inherently lazy. This laziness once recognized can be overcome through practice and forcing System 2 to think. System 1 is intuition (Human) while System 2 is deliberate assessment (Econ). There are natural biases that we all have in our thinking and it takes work to overcome these limitations.
