really liked it

The Road was a stark vision of a truly damned world. But the relationship between father and son was told in such a rich way, I will likely return to read this. In "the man" we see the hopes, fears and strife that all parents face for their children. In him we see the desperation for leaving his son with the skills he needs to survive. And although the backdrop is foreign, these human qualities ring true. Much more than just another post-apocalyptic story.
