liked it

I wanted to love it because I thought the premise was so interesting. I felt the book jumped from mind mindbogglingly fascinating to mind mindbogglingly dull and back then back again. I should add that I don't have much of a scientific education but I did find the bits of evolution and cosmology interesting. What I didn't find interesting was the never ending chapters on geology and the somewhat needless biographies.

Disappointing but I'm glad I finally read it.
