An excellent ending to this duology. I didn't enjoy this part of Kate and August's story as much as Our Savage Song (perhaps inevitably, given this one was rather more sombre), but the writing and characters development were as excellent as I've come to expect from Schwab.
Her writing is such a joy to read: it flows beautifully, the descriptions are clear and evocative, and the dialogue is always well-handled.
I'm already looking forward to her next book.
