really liked it
bookshelves: paranormal

I bought this collection because I have two of the authors on my to be read list, and I couldn't decide who to choose first. This seemed like a reasonably priced solution to my dilemma.

I wasn't a fan of the story "Pack" by Jeaniene Frost. The implausibility of how she came to be in that situation just ruined the whole story for me. A multiple day hike alone with no way to communicate or call for help? That's just ridiculous, for a woman or a man.

I thoroughly enjoyed "In Sheep's Clothing" by Meljean Brook. The story of two people who went their separate ways years before because of something that came between them and then are reunited.

I thought "Grace of Small Magics" by Ilona Andrews was simply inspired. The magic was intriguing and I enjoyed the dynamics between the two main characters.

While the first was not a four star story for me, the other two more than made up for it.
