really liked it

I really liked this book. I picked it up on the recommendation of my brother, and I was not disappointed. The only thing I didn't like was the swearing. So, if you have a problem with multiple F words, you might want to avoid this one. But, other than that, I really liked it. It kept me guessing the whole time, and I was totally surprised when I found out who the killer was.

I think it was a really well-written novel, and I especially liked all of the literary allusions to classical literature that I have read. There were several that I didn't know, but I enjoyed the added richness such allusions lent to the narrative. I liked the snappy dialogue, even though it was a little too snappy. I mean, I'm pretty sure NOBODY is that witty, all the time. It was kind of like (I'm so embarrassed that I know this) an episode of Gilmore Girls. People just don't talk like that in real life. But, it does make for some pretty entertaining reading. Overall, I thought it was a surprisingly good book. I recommend it. I just wish authors didn't feel the need to swear so much. That's annoying.
