Neil Gaiman has got to be one of the most creative and versitil authors on the market today. Although I haven't read all his work, this one is my favorite so far. I've read this in paperback and have listened to the audiobook version as well. The premis is that the "old gods" and the "new gods" are about to do battle in America, which is a place that is not good to gods, and the main character is caught in the middle. There are some very "adult" scenes in the book and a few humorous points along the way. Anyone who has ever had an interest in mythology of any kind should give this one a try.
