There were so many things to like about this book. It was easy and pretty low on angst.
I had a hard time loving Asia though. I understood that she was trying to find herself, but I was immensely irritated that on this journey she kept trying to be someone she most definitely wasn't. I didn't really start to appreciate her character until she stopped pretending.
I really liked Jay and felt sympathetic towards him throughout the book. Many instances showcased how truly great of a human being he really was and how much he cared for Asia. It was sad that he was in pretty much the same predicament as she, in trying to be someone he wasn't as well.
Marcus. Oh Marcus. Loved him and his tortured self. I loved how he finally opened himself up. I loved that he cared for Asia about as long as she did for him. I really liked how he was a part of the family, even if he wouldn't formally acknowledge it.
Honestly, I liked all of the key characters of the book, especially Asia's brothers and their dad. He was awesome! And my favourite funny part: when Asia farted!!
