it was amazing
bookshelves: will-read-again

This emotional roller-coaster of a tale is absolutely heart wrenching.

I loved the interaction between Stone and Preston. Stone's big heart and ability to forgive, not only Preston, but himself made him so likable and easy to relate to. He's such a sweet man. It was hilarious to see him put Preston in his place. I enjoyed watching him grow as a person as he worked through his issues and learned trust.

Preston started as a real piece of work. But with the help of his friends and Stone, the reader watches him open up, drop the attitude that he uses as a shield, and let people see the real man he is. Okay, so he's still a jerk some of the time, but only to protect those he cares about. Wonderful character evolutions.

One of my favorite things about this series is that I get to see glimpses of what past characters are up to. I love the interaction everyone has with Eli, Geoff, Joey, and Robbie. All Andrew's characters are so lovable!
