I could not recommend this book more to anyone curious about religion. Dawkins debunks all of the traditional and contemporary arguments in favor of God, including the highly debated "intelligent design theory", and offers insights into the origins, evolution, and seeming human "need" for religion. Using science, philosophy, sociology, and evolutionary psychology, Dawkins outlines a rational view of a world without God and religion, one that values reason, truth and beauty. On top of all of this he debunks traditional myths about atheism, such as that we're all nihlistic immoral relativists, and explains how one can find a sense of ethics and morality without religion and God. If you are religious or a believer, this book offers a strong critique, and one that you should know and beware of for some day a person who knows Dawkins may shake your world view, and if you are a skeptic or non-believer this is a MUST READ for it is not only intellectual ammunition but one of those books that changes and shapes your perspective.
