Synopsis (from Goodreads): Security Company CEO Josh Slater put his life on hold when he said “I do” to protect a stranger. While his marriage was never meant to be real—he hasn’t even seen his wife in five years—Josh can’t shake the idea that he’d be cheating if he moves on. Now he’s a man with a mission: chase down his “wife,” get an annulment, and finally indulge in a little no-strings sex. Heiress Alexia Slater entered into a marriage of convenience straight out of high school to gain control of her inheritance before her not-so loving family squandered the whole thing. She doesn’t want the marriage to be real—she’s fought hard for her independence—but that hasn’t stopped her from spending the last five years fantasizing about her gorgeous husband. Then he shows up. Josh wants an annulment. Lexi needs to stay married. When the chemistry explodes between them, there’s no stopping the battle of wills only one of them can win…She’s had the fantasy, now it’s time for the real thing…

I will be completely honest, Her Fantasy Husband is full of tropes. I'll also be completely honest and say that I loved every minute of it. You have a marriage of convenience, a near death experience, a millionaire, family issues and a virgin, and yet somehow it all completely works! (This *may* just be me basically getting over excited and going on a binge of Nina Croft books, but they're just so good, and I have lots of them I haven't read yet!)

I also loved that the book was set in England. Most of the time to find a UK setting you need to be reading historical fiction (mostly Regency really!) so it was great having a London base for the characters. It gives me more to relate to and the characters take on a special role for me!

I really liked Lexi and Josh's relationship. I mean it was fairly obvious where things were going, but the physical side of their relationship progressed faster than the emotional side, and it was all a little bit complicated which just made it seem more real. Of course they did both do the denial of any feelings thing, but that's to be expected really!

I thought Croft did a fantastic job with the millionaire trope too. Normally its the man, and normally he's living the high life, but in this case it was the woman and there was far more to her than her money. In fact money had very little place in the romantic relationship and mainly worked for one of the sub plots.

I loved this story, and am definitely looking forward to reading more from Croft!
