Between Shades of Gray
Heartbreaking and hopeful. Those are really the only words I can use. Reading about Stalin's deportations to Siberia hits really close to home for me, and knowing how the people were treated is nauseating. But I'm very happy I read this book. People can survive through even the most horrible experiences, and that is a quite comforting thought.
