it was ok
bookshelves: read-in-2008

I figured I should finally read this. There was recently a "Shouts & Murmurs" column in the New Yorker that did a better & much shorter satire on the employees of heaven and hell.

I'm sure this book was important for its time period. Not for me in this time period, though. Got a little tedious after a bit, and due to my lack of religious instruction, I simply couldn't care less how the "patient" turned out in the end.
