it was amazing
bookshelves: fantasy

The prince is a terrible boy, so terrible that his subjects call him Prince Brat. However, it is illegal to harm the prince so the King has the prince’s whipping boy beaten instead. When Prince Brat decides to run away he takes the whipping boy with him. Together they learn about one another’s lives and work to escape a pair of murdering ruffians who want to hold the prince ransom.
Sis’s illustrations compliment the funny fairytale quality of the story. His pointillist black and white illustrations are three-dimensional and have an almost doughy quality while retaining otherworldliness.
