This is my second Ellen Hopkins book and... I'm hooked. This book was dramatic but it was necessary. I could have never guessed the ending and I like when I can't guess the ending of a book. Once I read the ending I thought back to the rest of the book and definitely picked up on some clues to it (some of them I noticed while reading too). I love the way Identical is written. This is my third book written in verse and by far my favorite. I like how this book gets into some really deep issues but not too explicitly. When Ian came to Ty's house I was so confused. I still wonder how he knew she was there but then the ending explained everything and left me speechless. It had been mentioned (briefly and subtly) that someone died in the accident of their father's but I just thought they had another sibling or something. I knew it would be explained later on but I never imagined what actually happened. I was also confused why Kaeleigh kept talking about Madison but then that was explained too. I felt bad for Kaeleigh throughout the book. I started becoming suspicious of her eating cycle- bingeing and then randomly throwing up towards the close of the book. Also when she took all of those pills and almost died I thought hmmm, this sounds very much like something Raeanne would do. I'd really like there to be a sequel to see what happens with Kaeleigh and her father and if Ian is still around.
