This book was given to me in exchange for an honest review.

Lucy is the mere daughter of a baron, and her heart's sole-desire is Georome, or Geo as the prince is known. The two star-crossed lovers, for nine moons, have no more of a chance of being together than Romeo and Juliet did. And, when Lucy found out her father had betrothed her, she knew she was going to have to make a clean, permanent break with Geo. In order to ensure this happened, she was going to have to lie to Geo. The lie was going to have to hurt Geo, to the point where he was going to have to finally move on without her. And, of even more importance, it was going to have to secure their safety, and the honour of their families.

At a party, given by the king, the announcement is made of the crown prince's betrothal - to Lucy. Both knew they were betrothed to someone, but neither knew to whom. When Geo realizes Lucy is now engaged to his brother he wonders, how is this even possible? Lucy, being a baron's daughter, couldn't possibly be engaged to his brother. Well she is, and she's also the future queen of Tybiria.

Shortly after the celebration begins, the Liewesian army invades the castle, and kidnaps Dimitri. Geo's convinces his father, the king, to let him go after Dimitri - alone. And Lucy, knowing Geo is going after Dimitri, decides she's going with him, whether he likes it or not.

Come join Geo and Lucy, as they join forces to save Dimitri. Find out about their incredible quest, an adventure that includes lost boys, swamps, sea creatures and yes, even the Red Pearl. That's right, the Red Pearl. And, as far as I know, there's only ever been mention of one Red Pearl. Oh, and is there a chance, again, the two might become one? Hopefully, since Lucy knows she will never love another.
