it was ok

Entertaining and a nice read. It's hard to tell though, because it feels like a book that is just a beginning, an introduction to a deeper story, almost like a hint of something more to come. Almost s reversal of "Divergent", for divergent seemed very complicated and had a great story to tell, but it ended up shallow and kind of lacking. This mindset of "creators" and an experiment at least gives us an inkling of where the Author is heading.

Not the deepest or most rich writing, but I should expect that from a YA novel. It is thrilling and makes you want to turn the page and keep reading. But not the most eloquent or awe-Inspiring literature. It is what it is.

The slang the author created was a little dumb, and at times felt like their silly slang was a cover up from using actual profanity. So far, no eye rolling romantic entanglements in this book. Will I read the next book? Yes. I'm in a fiction fix right now. I need my light reading between heavy readings. :)
