This story has a narrator who can't keep his mouth closed, a sense of style relatable to Lemony Snicket, a psychic dog and a cast of characters as varied as any reality television show. With plenty of action, humor and weirdness, as well as mentions of topics from tattoos, to amputations to delicious squash recipes, this story has everything. I found it frenetic and amusing. The climactic ending- full of gun-toting bad guys, chaos and circus people- leads to a cliffhanger ending that will have the readers yearning for the sequel.
