really liked it
bookshelves: sexy-shifters, demons, fairies-elves-nymphs

In this second book in the Outcasts series, we get to see Ciaran and Drew lead their new lives together, tempered by a threat from old enemies, help from new allies and answers from unexpected sources.

The first half of the book dragged a little, maybe because it was mostly Ciaran and Drew on their own with not a lot happening. Even if it was sweet watching them together. Then in the second half it picked up with the demon hunters coming back and a few new characters being introduced. I especially liked Nick, the rogue wolf, and would be happy to get his story someday. I was also glad to see Ciaran get closure on his past and Drew get some on his future.

While Drew is a werewolf, he isn’t overbearing or full of dominant posturing. He’s calm, protective and the perfect mate for Ciaran. Ciaran, no matter what goes wrong isn’t prone to drama or simpering. It’s lovely to see how curious he is about life and how he’s just as protective of Drew. They’re both great characters.
