I loved the premise of this book and was excited to read it.
I really liked Viv when she wasn't focused on her mission. She's smart and funny and loves books. Bonus points for being a blogger. Dallas was adorable and their chemistry was there right from the beginning. There are a lot of great secondary characters: I loved Viv's mom and sort of brother, Toff.
Viv makes a lot of stupid decisions {and even mentions that she's acting like a stupid heroine in a book}. Sadly, even though she knows she's being ridiculous, she does nothing to change course. And that's where I started to get lost. Some scenes felt repeated and I found myself putting the book down to do other things.
Overall, it was a cute story I was invested in. I could have used a lot more banter and kissing, but the ending was perfect.
Just a warning: there is a brief scene of an assault. The intent to rape is said, but it's a drunken struggle that doesn't go anywhere. She knees him in the balls and then he gets the shit kicked out of him. It didn't seem fair to put it on the rape shelf, yet something needed to be said.
**Huge thanks to Entangled Teen for sending the arc in exchange for an honest review**
