Grisham's worlds are fantastic. They are interesting and at the same time have the feel of being real. No detail of a character's life is unimportant and the story doesn't usually build up to a perfect, happy ending. I would not recommend this book as an intro to Grisham (try The Runaway Jury, The Pelican Brief, or the Broker), but to those already familiar with his work, this is a great read.
