I almost DNF'd this book because Watson is so unlikable in the beginning - obsessed with Holmes and lovestruck before he even meets her. It is off putting. There is also a rape that.....wow.
Still, I've DNF'd too many books recently so I pushed through. Even though the friendship is a bit unearned at the beginning, I liked it towards the end. I like it enough I'll read book two but I dont necessarily recommend it.

Thanks for the rape headsup. I've had this one on my list a while and had no idea. :/
