Recommended by a former student and thoughtful reader. This is a different genre of book than I usually read. Say Goodbye was a suspenseful thriller. It was just that. I read it in a few hours, partly because some of the susupense part I wanted to be over. However, it was thoughtful written about a topic that needs more attention: human trafficking. I cannot imagine what it took for the author to write this book. The research must have been incredibly difficult to learn about, but I appreciate the author's commitment to uncovering the longitudinal effects of such devastating acts that young children have endured.
