This has been the most emotional book to date IMO - well, it certainly extracted more feeling from me; more than the last 4 books combined. The other books were good reading, but this one pulled tears (not blubbering but a slight sheen in my eyes) and anger from me. And Eve was the subject of all this emotion.

We pretty much know up front who the 'baddie' is - but the journey is a well-sketched progression in terms of murder/mystery/deduction. However for the last 20% I was SO frustrated and angry with Eve and her wilfull blindness - the reasons are explained; but to me, her lack of emotions and stubborn ignorance really grated... I don't want to say more in case I spoil it for someone...

I can't give this more stars because I am sort of sick of the ongoing formula of the series. But to keep it exciting I suppose Robb has to do this...??
