it was amazing
bookshelves: kids-ya, favorites, fiction

I have loved this book for as long as I can remeber. So proper sounding and old fashioned, it is enchanting. I remember the sense of accomplishment I felt when I read it all by myself for the first time... but I digress.

This is a wonderful and sweet book. This book appeals to my adult senses because, in some sense everyone has felt the same need for love and validation. As a child, it appealed to me because Rabbit was so loyal and so sweet, and in the end, he was rewarded for being so.

I am willing to say that Rabbit may have a problem with co-dependance, but still a lovely story.
