Actually, I prefer Jaffarian's Odelia Grey series. There are just too many ghosts in this for me. But...Emma, newly aware of her ability to see ghosts, is vacationing on Catalina island when she meets Tessa, a bikini-clad ingenue of a ghost who can't cross over until "Curtis" comes for her. Soon Emma, her boyfriend Phil, her Granny Apples, ghost of one of her ancestors, and others, both living and dead, are hunting for Tessa's killer. The search uncovers a lot of villains, some too close to Emma's family for comfort.
