really liked it
bookshelves: changing-the-world, food, memoir

Loved it! A month-by-month account of eating for a year only foods produced within 100 miles of their home in British Columbia. As much essay and memoir as cook’s notebook. And a serious lot of thinking out loud about the trouble we have gotten our planet and our peoples in by giving ourselves over to the industrial agri-business revolution-- monoculture, toxicity and death to farm families and communities. A rotten deal! Time to evolve into locally centered economies, for peak health, flavor and financial security.
