it was amazing
Read 2 times. Last read June 10, 2016 to June 12, 2016.

I’m writing this review in November 2020 after reading the book for a second time almost four and a half years later. I had previously given it a 4 star rating but it definitely deserves 5!

I decided to read it again after seeing a post on social media that the new book in the series had just been released. I’ve read the previous 6 or 7 books but couldn’t really remember much about the character or the series other than really enjoying it.

As I started to read, I felt sheer joy at the fact that I couldn’t remember what happened and raced through the book like it was the first time I’d read it. Little slivers of memories were peeking through but, thanks to Tim’s incredible writing I still found myself questioning right until the end.

David Raker is a fantastic character. A broken man, but one who uses his pain as fuel to fight for justice. I thoroughly enjoyed Chasing the Dead and I’m off to flick the kettle on and get straight on to the next one!
