The Rule Book (The Rule Breakers, #1)

This book was short and sweet. It's the story of Lainey, a young woman trying to find her footing, figuring out her place in the world.
Laney is quirky and with the help of her mom, she's quite knowledgeable about '80s pop culture. There are many references throughout the story, such as Breakfast Club and Duck Hunt. It sure kept things interesting, even if it made me feel old.
Brogan is a man who finds it hard to trust so he's set up rules that he and the people around him must abide by. Seriously. Dude has a rule book (manual), however meeting and falling in love with Laney helps him put things in perspective. She teaches him that life and love are worth taking a risk for.
If you're looking for a quick and light read, this book fits the bill.
Enjoy! xo

It was okay. Not too deep. Lighthearted fun for sure.
