As Clear as a Crystal

The Author, Pseudonymous Bosch, of "This isn't What it Looks Like" has a writing style of comedy, but mixed with an aurora of mysteriousness. Pseudonymous Bosch keeps a shroud of mystery between his identity, along with many fourth wall breaks when he inserts his own dialogue, sort of like a commentary throughout the books. He talks to the readers, giving off a maniac vibe in my opinion, yet maintaining sanity. The writing of Bosch is clear as he manages to stay on track with the Secret Series, continuing the story of the 2 young detectives, Cass and Max-Ernst, as their quest to uncover the unrecoverable secret hidden for nearly a century. He manages to balance out internal development with external development well, as he also works with two different parts as they eventually do converge on each other to create one full plot line, making everything make sense throughout. His choice of words as cynical and a bit Monty Python like, keeps the book entertaining and very interesting as it keeps the reader at the edge of their seats.

Like Water in a Desert

I found the author to be very entertaining and quite the personality. He managed to insert his own viewpoints of the book, giving us a new perspective of the book. He breaks the fourth wall many times, making the book much more enjoyable. I found that his writing style was very engrossing. He even added an intermission halfway through his book to “Requested a fifteen-minute break to restore his energy before writing what promises to be a very intense and emotional chapter.” He keeps things light and casual then diving into a story full of mystery. Readers will definitely like the new perspective the author includes in his books, as they give a fresh viewpoint on the things at hand, and helps with the massive storyline, giving the readers to take a step back and view the story through a different set of eyes.
