did not like it

Steve Jobs is a unique and missed personage. Walter Isaacson is a phenomenal biographer.
But putting two great people together doesn't guarantee success.

I was pretty disappointed in the book. I felt it was a long winded way to describe the personality of a "magician genius," as mentioned in the book. In my opinion, these people just come and go, and their lifestyle and personality is in general independent of their intuitive genius.

If you were expecting a book about Jobs facing and resolving technical challenges as he helps Apple play an influential role in the electronic consumer market, then you might want to think twice. If you wanted to read about his hippie past and absorb more deeply his mood swings which somehow more than once amount to success, then this book is for you.
