so the story arch is utterly predictable. a bit of a coming of age, musicy little thing, different but the same. there's some language, but the author stops short of real winners.

for lovers of nick and nora, golf, podcasting, and high school drama, this is a winner. i laughed out loud a few times, and the story was compelling enough, it just wasn't awesome. n&n had a wandering, adventure element that this book lacked. absent physical adventure, without much character growth, it's a better-than-average, but not groundbreaking piece of candy fiction.
