Twilight Children describes three individuals of different ages dealing with mutism. I found this read to be very compulsive. I liked it.......reading it constantly, but it wasn't as good as Hayden's other novels. Usually, I feel a deep attachment to the child-Torey's attachment. This novel seemed more like a recollection of her notes. Although she is a wonderful therapist, I didn't feel her ties with Cassandra like in her other books-especially like with Shelia. This was a good read. I liked it and found myself obsessed with finishing it. I am astounded with Hayden. What a wonderful person.
