really liked it
bookshelves: non-fiction, new-classics

Tina Fey, I will follow you to the ends of the earth, as long as you keep using humor to subvert any and all expectations we have of you as a human being.

Fey's thoughts on work, love and life are presented in a mish-mash of seeming-to-give-advice chapters, with a smattering of asides about things like how much she loves Amy Poehler (which: agree). This book is a masterful attempt to let any sense of self-importance surrounding its author leak outwards and quickly, like air escaping a hot balloon.

Kudos to you, Tina Fey, for showing us what's truly important: not taking yourself too seriously, but realizing anyone who thinks you're not funny because you're a woman is an asshole.
