A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire, #1)

First of all, I would like to say, this book was amazing. George R. R. Martin has taken me on a trip to a world far away, with many legends and myths, and I loved. The only thing I found a bit less amazing, was the first 100 pages (which is not that much, seeing it has 800+ of them), where the introduction from the characters were. It was a lot of information to soak in to begin with, but let me tell you, it was definitely worth the effort. After I had passed these first pages, I almost couldn’t stop reading. The book is filled with intriguing characters, and I never became bored of anyone of them. It’s a shame I hadn’t heard from it before the HBO-series launched, because it is definitely worth the attention. I’ve spent many hours wondering what would or could happen in the next pages, in the next chapter, and now that I’ve read it, in the next book. Marti manages to do something what other authors haven’t been able to do, which is killing a protagonist, and not pissing me off too bad. So, my conclusion, Game of Thrones is one of my all-time favorite books, and you should read it too.
